FRISCO EXCAVATION WORKS

Excavation Services for the Work Ahead

Start with the condition the next trade needs, then identify the earthwork required to reach it. Frisco Excavation Works handles residential and commercial excavation with the cut, material movement and handoff defined in the scope. Use this list of services to choose the closest starting point, even when your project needs several connected operations.

Choose by the finished result

For a home addition or work around an occupied property, residential excavation brings the building interface and access decisions together. Foundation excavation focuses on cuts for new foundation construction, while building pad preparation addresses the specified support area and its preparation. These services can connect, but they should not be treated as interchangeable names for an identical package.

Commercial excavation starts with project drawings, quantities and acceptance requirements. Pool excavation follows the pool builder's layout and covers the earthwork portion rather than pool construction. Driveway excavation prepares the subgrade for a separate surfacing operation. Each page explains what the receiving trade needs to provide and which questions belong in the proposed scope.

Follow the material as well as the machine

Grading changes the shape of the ground. Dirt removal addresses material leaving the site, and fill placement addresses material brought into or placed within the work area. Backfill and compaction rebuild excavated areas to the applicable project requirements. A job can involve all of these operations, so ask which are included instead of relying on a single excavation label.

Trenching creates an excavation route for another trade's work; utility installation is separate. Tight-access excavation focuses on reaching and working within restricted spaces. Access can influence the sequence and hauling method across any service, even when the final excavation is straightforward. Tell us where material will go and which route equipment can use.

Put the boundaries into the request

Send the project location, intended use, available plans and photographs of the approach. Identify the next trade and any fixed requirements they have supplied. The project readiness assessment can help you collect missing decisions before requesting a scope. If you are comparing proposals, the quote comparison guide explains how to check that each contractor has priced the same endpoint.

Our scope excludes land clearing, tree and stump work, demolition, utility installation, pool construction and foundation repair. If another contractor must complete one of those activities first, include that dependency in the schedule. We can discuss the approved earthwork once the starting condition is clear. The aim is a defined sequence from accessible site to accepted earthwork, with responsibility for each transition understood.
